Soul Gate Services started when Rev. Azariea Almufleh faced her own fears of passing as she battled cancer. After she beat cancer, she wanted to give back to the terminal community, by creating a safe space to face fears and offer help to others emotionally and spiritually to prepare for transition in order to help them find peace.

End of Life Doulas are also known as Death Walkers, Death Doulas, Death Midwifes, Soul Doulas, Transition Guides, Soul Walkers and End of Life Guides. An end-of-life doula is a support person who provides non-medical, non-judgmental, support to those nearing the end of life. Death Doulas support the friends and family of the elderly, dying, or recently dead. An end-of-life doula educates and empowers individuals to make decisions on their own end-of-life care and final burial or funeral arrangements.
